Swing for Change: Drive Out Hunger in EYSD

The Eastern York School District (EYSD) is a rural area in South-Central Pennsylvania, York County. As stated in the US News education report¹ , 46% of the students are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program, by definition; they are economically disadvantaged.

The 2019 “A Seat at the Table” report², identifies EYSD is a “High Food Insecurity and Low Food Distribution” area. This indicates food insecurity is above the York County average of 10.5% and less than 75% of the projected needs were met by either York County Food Bank or Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

This tournament is to raise awareness of the issue and all proceeds will be used within EYSD. By working with local organizations and the school, the funds will be distributed to areas of need.
